His work is included in the collections of the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, as well as private collections in Ireland, the UK and abroad.

This piece, entitled Pond represents McAllister’s work with the landscape. Developed from close cropped images of clouds, trees and water it has been carried out at a scale which reveals the inherent physical patterns underlying the apparently random nature of landscape composition, conferring the images with an abstract quality. At this level, it becomes evident that these details are unique, complex, intriguing and worthy of closer attention.
